What are essential amino acids?
As the name suggests, essential amino acids are essential for the human body, as they cannot be produced by the body or can only be produced in insufficient quantities. It is therefore particularly important to ensure that they are absorbed by external sources, if possible, in an optimal amount and in the correct proportion. It is undisputed that amino acids – especially the proteins that are built up from them in the body – play an important role in muscle building processes, as protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass and its increase.
